About Us

The HOFFA Foundation was established in 2019, just a few months after Jimmy Zumbrun lost his battle with addiction. Jimmy was a die-hard Baltimore Ravens fan, always surrounded by family and friends at the games, bringing laughter, energy, and joy to every tailgate. When we created The HOFFA Foundation, we knew the name had to reflect his spirit. Jimmy had a nickname for everyone, and his was “HOFFA.” It didn’t take us long to turn that into our mission: Healing. Opportunity. Free From Addiction.

What started as a way to honor Jimmy’s life has grown into a movement of hope. Based in Carroll County, Maryland, our nonprofit is dedicated to saving lives and supporting those on the path to recovery. In just five years, we have provided a recovery residence and over 5,000 FREE rides through HOFFA Transportation Services—helping individuals take that critical first step toward treatment and a second chance at life.

At The HOFFA Foundation, we believe recovery is about progression, not perfection. Every life touched, every ride given, and every resource shared represents a victory against addiction. We remain committed to offering hope, compassion, and opportunity to those who need it most.

Join us in the fight for hope and recovery—because together, we can save lives, strengthen families, and change our community for the better.
